I have a lump sum of money which I am interested in investing. Its not a huge amount but I would like to become familiar with buying and selling shares. How is the best way to go about this and learn about the industry? Can I deal easily online?

Hi,
I have found a brand new 2bedroom flat in upminster, Essex. It is up for sale at £150,000 (75% ownership). On top of that they are asking for £100 rent per month towards the last 25%.

I think this still seems really cheap as the location and the quality of the flat are 1st class.

They were on the market orignally to be sold outright for £250,000 but they havent been sold???!?!?!

Also is it in my league? I earn £21,000 a year and have £5,000 savings.

I am considering it as a buy to let as I am only 20 and life at home is still far to comfortable!

Any advise would be great.

I am single, hv no dependant and just relocated to Missori, US.
I am staying with my friends in Kansas City MO.
Still confused with US tax rules. Dont know what is IRS, moving expenses and all. How can I get a good exemptions to reduce my taxes. How to calculate Taxable income ?
I have $50,000 annul salary... can anybody give me a detail description what will be my take home salary ?
To save tax what I will have to do ? Suppose If I will take 1 laptop, how much exemption I will get on that ?

One more question can I declare myself as Head of Household ?

My job is fairly low paid (16k), I am in the process of looking for another one as is my partner. I have a reasonable deposit (20k). The thing I want to know is what companies are likely to take me on mortgage wise, also how easy/ difficult is it to get a mortgage. realistically I want to know what I'm up against and how to increase my changes (rather than the obvious of earn ££££££).
