Let's say I wanted to buy an established McDonalds. How much do you think it would cost? And how much money would I have to take in every day just to maintain the restaurant and what would likely be my profit?

I went shopping today and at one of the stores, I paid by credit card. I held my card out for the cashier to check my ID/signature. The lady then said to me that she is not allowed to check ID anymore. They have signed a new law (in CA) that prohibits stores from checking ID. She said her manager told her that they weren't allowed to check anymore. Has anyone ever heard of this new law (she thinks it was passed at the beginning of Oct 06) and what is it called? I thought this was absurd.

Unfortunately I don't have alot of money, but I was wondering how much you would need so you could live comfortably from the interest?

What is the best way to invest this much money so you could get a regular income from it?

Also, what is the minimum amount of money you would need so you can invest in shares?

Anyone know of a beginner website so I can learn about investing?

Thanks for your help.

I know that tax court cases are held all over the country and that judges travel to select cities to hold these cases. I was wondering if there is anyway for me to find out when they will hear a tax case in Seattle. I looked on their website, but couldnt find anything helpful.

My husband won $6000 from a competition that he was in back in March. He got paid in April we have saved the money that is supposed to be taxed, and we are going to pay it in April when we thought that it was due....should we have paid Estimated Taxes on it in the quarter that it was due? We did not know anything about this this esitimated tax...and just thought that it was normal for us to pay it at the end of the year. I have been looking and it appears that we have been wrong and that we should of paid it back then. What should we expect now, and what should we do?

This person thinks she is in charge and it's getting to me I need to
learn how to deal with this person. I just started working there with
her. I have heard from the other employees that she has gotten into fights with them? She was also training a co worker and the
co-worker quit because of her. I have asked my supervisor about this situation but apparently she does not care; My own supervisor
forgot to tell me that our first meeting was at 7:30 am and no one told me and the director just gave me a look? I like my work and I don't want to create tensions there. What can I do? I need a positive feedback please!! I want to make this job work

A friend of mine owns a small business located in a skyrise. He was not available to personally fire the employee but he reported her to security and told security that the employee was no longer allowed in his office and to collect the keys from the employee. When the employee showed up, the person was unable to go up but did not relinquish the keys stating the he would not do so until he received the pay check. Do we have the right to deduct the fee for lock and key replacement from his paycheck?

I have a lump above my collarbone, about the size of a walnut above my collarbone, and My doctor told me there is a one in five chance that it could be lymphoma cancer. I have an appointment on Monday with a surgeon to take a closer look at it, and give me another diagnosis.
I am in my early twenties, and I was foolish enough to think that I could put off getting a health insurance plan for a little longer. Is there anyway I can still get a health insurance plan that I can afford.I make less then 1000 dollars a month.
Any info would be much appreciated.

This company is coming to our school and taking some of us interviewees out for dinner. Should I wear a polo shirt (short sleeve of course) or a button down dress shirt? And should it be khaki pants or I also have some grey nice/casual pants. And I have nice black shoes and some of those brown slip on shoes (look like the ones frat guys always where). thanks.
