I feel guilty every time I go in there, so I mostly shop at the little local grocers in our town. However, on certain items, I feel that I've got to look out for ME. I want lower prices because I have a family that I am financially responsible for. Nobody's giving me any free stuff, so I've got to get it where it's a good price.

I guess most people feel that they get good deals there...I personally do not shop there. I think their clothes look wrinkled, it's always crowded & disorganized in the store. I've had the misfortune to be in a few stores while out shopping with others who love Walmart.

Give me Target any day of the week or year! I just watch the ads for sales & hit the outer perimeter of the store...that's where they put most of their clearance items.

Good question. As the birdies all say its "CHEAP CHEAP!" I am currently doing MUCH better. I do shop MOSTLY at Winco ( groceries) Dollar Stores, Big Lots, and thrift stores. ITS TOO TEMPTING for us po' folks; that's why! Whether we are fairly savvy or no, ol' Mr Walton has the American public by the short hair. I do realize that this is no excuse, believe me.

Game Theory suggests that when given a choice between a short term personal gain versus a longterm social gain... most people pick the former.

The reason that they are so large and yes so successful is that they market at the lowest price. They do not promote mediocrity through union membership ( no socialist free ride ). I save on everyday merchandise and I will soon save more on my medicines.
