Realtor fees are always negotiable. You can call around and see what different realtors say. It can't hurt.

It won't cost you anything, the landlord will be paying the Realtor's commission. In most cases the Realtor will be representing the landlord so be sure to ask, then negotiate accordingly.

The one month's rent is not correct. Commission can be negotiated, there is no standard rate, but many will charge the landlord between 12-20% of the value of the lease.

lots of answers ... now here is the correct one, it depends on the area you are looking in. typically speaking the fee that realtors collect for renting an apartment is one months rent (in some areas it can be 15% of the first year).

in many areas the landlord pays the fee and in other the tenant. you can find this out by calling any broker and they will tell you. also, while commissions are negotiable (by law) brokers do not typically negotiate apartment rental fees.

good luck

You should not be paying any fees, if an agent is charging you a fee to find an apartment you should find another agent.

Generally speaking (at least around here) the landlord pays, not the renter.
