A Greek tetradrachm of Athens of about 440 BC in mint uncirculated conditions about $1,000, maybe more depending on the strike, perhaps as much as $2,000. In vf conditions about $300. There were a huge quantity of these minted and they are very popular today because they were used to finance the building of the Parthenon among other temples.

Mexican 8 real coin in vf conditions from that period, about $25.00 maximum. These were legal tender in the U S for many years and the U S silver dollar was patterned after them.

1896 U S silver dollar no mint mark. This is a common date. $10 in vf to $35 in uncirculated.

The German mark, I have no idea about.

Most Coins Are Not Valuable
Most of the coins are worth very little! Coins made civilisation possible They were and also are also mass produced in millions,Nbody ever throws them away. For this reason, there are more old coins in existence than there are coin collectors. This is good news if you are a coin collector, but bad news if you are trying to sell. Normally Coin sellers have more coins than the the person who comes into the market to sell his coin/s seller..

Coin Collectors Are Not Rich
Most coin collectors aren't wealthy, they're just ordinary people with an interesting hobby. Most of them would prefer partying, but collecting coins is less expensive. The point is that collectors don't want to pay high prices So it is unrealistic tot expect fortunes.
Condition, or state of preservation, is most important. Collectors prefer coins in mint condition rather than worn .
You may feel that one cannot expect a 100 (or 10 or 50) year old coin to still be in mint condition On this account mint condition coins have rarity value and command premium prices. Even ancient Roman and Greek coins exist in mint state and are often available at reasonable prices.

Before offering a coin for salet find the coin in a catalogue,e.g. Seaby's for British coins;, Standard Catalogue of World Coins, by Krause for world coins; Roman Coins & Their Values by David Sear for Roman coins,Then try to accurately assess the grade. Don't exaggerate it, otherwise you will only be disappointed.

Coin dealers normally offer half these prices but in case the number of coins is large they may offer a little more.
