My born again Christian friend is convinced (and tries to convince me) that he will be able to retire in 2 years (when he is 30) just off of Quixtar. Seems like a pyramid scheme to me though.

I am interested in investing in a Roth IRA and need one that allows a small investment and won't nickel and dime me out of my money. I found one on Fidelity that only requires a 200 deposit but they require a 200 monthly investment which is double what I have monthly.

They were to build us a home on some land we found and put a deposit on. After 4 months they couldnot get a construction loan so we bought another home. They keep $3,000.00 of our deposit for there cost. I thought a deposit on a real estate was suopposed to be returned if not completed.

I have often thought that I would like to start my own business, but can never really come up with what that business should be. I am thinking that a franchise might be worth looking into. I know there are franchise fees involved, but it may be worth it for the name recognition and support. Can a franchise be a profitable option for a middle-class family? I'm no millionaire, so buying a McDonald's is out of the question. Any suggestions?

Is it better to take $20,000 cash and pay down a tax-deductible home equity line of credit or put that cash in a 1-year CD yielding 5.5% interest? The monthly payments on the home equity $20K would be more than the interest earned but since they are tax deductible, does this make more sense?

before moving on and trying something new? I've been at this job almost 3 years and I feel like I've hit "burnout" and I no longer care about what I'm doing (not sure if I ever did)... I'm having a huge problem staying motivated.

Also, do you believe in having multiple careers in a lifetime? Or finding 1 thing and building on it / being promoted to "the top"?

I'm a freelance copywriter with a possible opportunity to do a project that requires informational blurbs of 4-5 lines each for about 600-800 products (catalog-type writing). It needs to be completed in about 2 weeks' time. They want me to quote them a price before we proceed. Does anyone have any idea what would be a fair market price to quote for such a job?

I'm 19 and live in ontario canada. I just did a credit rating from TransUnion. My credit rating is 692. It said I have never missed a payment on anything.

My question is, how good is this rating? What is a poor/good/excellent score?

I will not show up late for work because people keep bugging me about being on time. I started a job once at 8:00. I showed up at 7:55 and some idiot around started laughing and said "Why are you so early?" Early!!? FIVE minutes? If people like that want to be late and have the unemployment line to look forward to, that's their business. I won't participate.

I'm trying to buy somehting from the internet and I need it by tuesday, if I go and deposit my check now i won't be able to get it until next friday, so i'm thinking about the Bill Me Later option. What i don't know is if they will bill me the exact amount of how much it costs in the future or will it be some interests coming along with it, if yes, how much? is there a big risk using the Bill Me Later? Thanks.

My strenghts, I work exceptionally well in a fast paced enviroment if I'm asked to do something its guaranteed to get done and to the best of my ability. Personally, I always say that my weakness is expecting myself to excell in every way possible. I can't think of a weakness that would hinder my job performance
