I had a problem with my toilet, so I called the manager/caretaker. He then told his daughter in law that there was "Crap" all over the bathroom floor, and that I didn't clean it up. COMPLETE LIE!! Then I had an inspection, and this same guy told his daughter in law and others that there was human and animal "Crap" all over the bathroom and all through my bedroom. LIE as well. He then called DHS on me and they are coming back tomorrow to "Inspect" my place as I wasn't home. My Place is clean, and my 4 year old isn't in any danger. Does he have the right to lie like that about me to other tenants? Also, does he have the right to talk about other tennents with his daughter in law and others in public at the complex? any help would be greatly appreciated as I meet with the landlord tomorrow.

We were told the sale of dad's home will have to be put into a bank acct using a tax ID #. Will tax need to be paid on this? Is there any other way to handle this? The entire estate is less than $120,000. The house sold for $90,000. A will was left with one child being the executor but all children are heirs and agree to the sale of the home.

I'm too excited about the opportunity to think straight. I've been offered to interview for a Quality Assurance / Regulatory Affairs Compliance Consultant. This is a major promotion with much more money than what I'm being paid now. I’m a single parent who has dedicated everything to his two small kids – ages 5 and 7. Here's the problem, it will require up to 20% travel, including international travel - Mexico, Ireland, China, Korea. Should I accept the position if offered in lieu of my two small kids? However, this position will take time away from them, but will provide a substantial increase in income. So there’s the trade-off. What would you do?

I am 30 years old, and I am stuck in a job I hate (acccounting). Worse of all, I have spent years to get a master's degree in it and a lot of money in school loan too. But this job is really making me miserable, and I don't see light at the end of tunnel? Am I too old/too invested in my old career to change my career path?
