I've been in the job for about 3 months. I'm suppose to be a writer/editor, but I have virtually no work to do. I spend hours and hours everyday just staring at the wall or pretending to read old newsletters and publications so that I can learn the business. I f*%king HATE HATE HATE this job. I'm reluctant to walk away though. It's just my second job out of college so I can't just jump into another job instantly.

supervisor ask me to clean out his trash can ( I'm a intern at a prison for deliquent kids) I did because I did not want to be charged with insorbordant behavior, afterwards he told me my porbationary period will be extended giving no date until when and told me to start looking for another job. All of the other employees started calling me names. Because of what I had to do. I never told them so it must have been the supervisor. I feel very humillated and stressed and in fear of loosing my job. What are my rights this was not my job the supervisor was just being nasty and rude and trying to belittle me.

I love the work I do. I just hate the workplace. It's not my coworkers who are so bad, it's the management, or rather lack of it. The owner tells people to do things, then changes his mind but doesn't tell anybody. The day before a project is due, he asks you why such and such isn't done. It's maddening.

I was promised a raise after 90 days and still haven't gotten one. My direct manager disappeared a few weeks ago and still hasn't come back. Not that she's much help - she's married to the owner. Last week I worked tons of overtime (unpaid.) One day I worked from 5AM-7PM at the office, and then took work home with me. I'm told I'm one of the best workers they've seen here, yet I'm not rewarded for it. I make the same amount of money as the girl down the hall who sits around all day and surfs the web. The only perk I have is my own office.

I have come to hate working here after only 3 months. How can I be more motivated when I know that my hard work will go unrewarded?

How does this work? As an example, if the return indcates a tax due of $50,000, and you only send in $10,000 with the return, what happens next? Does the IRS then send you a bill, where you can then request an Installment plan? What's the best way to do this?

Thanks for the help!!!

I work for a major auto manufacturer, and was surprised to learn that my company does not offer any paid time off. Would love to hear about other companies' policies.

I am trying to come an angreement with a debt collector. I have offered a payment plan that would take me almost a year to pay off. They stated to me that they only do 3 month payment plans and that they do not have to accept my payments if I make them before signing an agreement, how much of this is true and extension of the truth or outright lies?

let's se...um...i've been in love with this wonderful man. I haven't ever fallen in love with anyone emotionally b4 & i couldn't even remembered exactly what he looked like after the firest 2x that i met with him. I realized this b4 the 3rd x & concentrated very hard on what he looked like when i saw him. Well, he's just beautiful! His eyes r hazel. He has the biggest most happiest smile! He lights up when i look @ him. I love his ears, too! He has a neatly shaven beard, well, what's that called? I couldn't remember if he completely shaved his hair or if it was very shortly shaved. Now i know! PRAISE GOD!
OK, sooo....now the Holy Spirit has put us in a union with Christ.
I received a new credit card in my inbox with all info. on it & this guy calls me for the #'s so that he can start working on clearing up my credit report.
I don't know how to use this computer well, i'm scared for the guy to call back and me not having the info. & i haven't ever used a man's credit b4. HELP!

i work mon-fri 8-4:30 $12.50 hr. I am the backup to several departments in my company. so when someone takes a day off, or has something going on i fill in for them. tuesdays and wednesdays i am always doing something for at least 4 hours in another department. Now i have great benefits, and my managers do not hassle me about my work, i do what i'm told and i usually ask for more things when i'm bored. but the thing is that they give me WAY TOO much stuff when i ask for it, and they give me stuff that will be a reoccuring task daily, and on the days that i have to fill in for people i cannot accomplish everything.
BUT then there are days like today, where i have sat on yahoo answers and i've done nothing all day long. i've asked to switch departments but they said that i'm to valuable as the "back up." I'm bored out of my mind at this position, and they will not let me move within the company. should i leave, or stay and hope that it gets better? i've been here for 11 months.
