My sister in law came over my home to visit, she was parked behind me and I was going to run out and grab a pizza, I asked her if I could just borrow her car instead of moving it out of the way to take mine. BIG MISTAKE. As I was leaving my block I was making a right hand turn and there was a car making a left hand turn, We where right next to each other. The seventeen year old driving the car changed her mind and instead of making a left turn, she made a right turn, did not bother to look before she stepped on the gas, burned rubber and sideswiped the left side of the car tearing off the bumper and damaging all the front fender and both lights. My sister in laws car is a PT Cruiser and you can just imagine the damages. I found out once I got home that my sister in law did not have car insurance. I called my insurance company and they say I am not covered under my policy. Also have two witnesses who saw other driver was at fault. Will her insurance pay for the damages? Thanks!!

Its getting ridiculous, even leaflet distributors and cleaners are asked for experience! I mean everyone has to start somewhere right? It just seems like studying for a degree is a complete waste of time cos all they want is industry experience. Am I the only one with this problem?

I know that is the best way for an American to get a job "over there." Marriage or French ancestors are not in my past or future. I also know it's harder than heck to find a job in Europe as a non-EU citizen. I speak very good French (got my MA), have studied and taught in France on a short-term contract.

Problem is I have been banging my head against the wall trying to figure out how the heck to get a job over there. Doesn't need to be specifically France--Belgium, Ireland, UK, Luxembourg, Spain...about anywhere in Western Europe'll do!

Can anyone think of any good employment opportunity to get a Europhile to Europe? I have taught high school, college, and have non-profit (grant-writing) expereince. How can I transfer these skills to the business world and what are good US companies I could check into?

I know that people are saying that you should buy those mutual funds which give higher returns. But when my company offers limited number of mutual funds and all are doing bad. What should I do with my 401K investment? I can not move my 401K to other company until I leave my present job. Should I stop contributing to 401K?
