Feeling confused and uneasy is perfectly normal in any new job. The dynamics of being unsettled will likely continue until you get a clear sense of what your daily workload looks like, and how you can manage the expectations of the job into your daily way of doing business.
What to do. Hmm you are doing good stuff by being in touch with your feelings. Here are some options until you feel more settled:
1. Journal about your feelings.
2. Begin and end each day with a to do and "to done" list what is priority, what must be done next and baby step your way to a productive work environment.
3. Seek a mentor-- someone in your field who has been there and done what you are doing. They can advise you through the tough spots.
4. Join a Career Support Group in your industry.
6. Join the Yahoo Career Development Group for online support and a library of member resources: http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/HFCN-CareerTransformationTalk/
Be gentle on you! Proficiency takes time! :D

Feeling confused is very normal. Even dreaming about your new workplace is normal! It can take around 3 months to settle into somewhere new. If you are still confused or nervous after three months then re-evaluate your situation.

It's normal to feel confused at a new job for a little while. You learn the ropes through training and as you go along, so don't worry about it.

i think it is very normal. depending on the job and the wide variety of procedures there are, it can be extremely overwhelming AND confusing. it is definately hard to try and remember a whole new set of rules and regulations ... not to mention feeling comfortable enough in the work environment to complete them properly.

it just takes time. You'll get used to it. Everyone feels that way on their first week.
