We want to buy this house and we are meeting with the banker on tuesday, but I am just curious about something. We have about $15k in credit card debt and pay about $1600 a month in credit card bills. We want to buy this house was will have about a $1500 mortgage payment. Now, if we had those credit card bills gone, that's basically the mortage payment.

Does anyone know if when we take out this mortgage, can we also take out a little more to take care of our credit cards bills and then we just have this one big payment for our mortage and our credit card bills.

I should not out that the house is worth $260, but we are only paying $235 for it so really, it's like we are getting automatic equity right? And that could be used to pay for some of the credit card debt. I'm just worried they won't want to give us the loan because they will say we don't have enough money to pay for the mortage because of the credit card bills. This is a great house, we don't want to pass it up!

Providing the average US home price at $269,211 most would then charge from $8076.33 to $16152.66 (3%-6%). Can you make sense for those that don't see and understand the value? Please explain by given details that selling a home requires such a price tag. Appreciate any educated and informed answers.

This sounds a little tricky but it's not really. I am planning on filing bankruptcy in November as a result of a writ put on my bank account due to a credit card that wasn't paid off (and I was never served the papers for).

I currently live in PA but will be moving to NJ in October which is in my favor pertaining to the BK I learned. Also I am adopting my cousin's child who will be coming to live with me in Nov. I was told to wait until he is here to file because that will also help my case. My main concern is that I don't want it to go to a chap 13 BK.

Any advice on what I can do right now to help set myself up for making sure it becomes a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy would be appreciated. Thank you for your help. Any spam answers, pointless one word answers etc.. will be reported.

Thank you,
Mary

Ok here is the situation. My sister-in-law wants to get a divorce but has no $$ to get out on her own. She wants to go to a bank and get a loan using her 401K (or whatever retirement account she has) as collateral. She has about 10k in the account. Is this possible? She does NOT want to withdraw from the account because I have told her that she will get hit with big fees and loose much $$ in the process. Ideas, comments, suggestions appreciated.
