I recently started receiving SS benefits. A notification letter states that 30% will be withheld (two ayches, yes) at source.

I assume that a year-end recap document for is sent annually for 1040 season, but should like to have confirmation of this.

Thanks in advance.

I've been working at my job for a little over 11 months now. I was hired in at $5.50. Shortly after, our new hires were being brought in at $6.00. My manager was supposed to raise everyone's wages across the board. However, she did not. I knew this, but because I do not use my job to support myself, I did not care to make waves about it.

However, I have recently taken on a very stressful specialist position--I head a department that is responsible for 40% of our annual sales. I found out through the grapevine that one of my co-workers who has worked for us only 4 months is making $6.75 while I am still making $6.25.

Like all good bosses, my GM is hard to read and scary to approach.

I cannot bring up that I know about my co-worker's wage, because it is not lawful for us to speak about in the workplace which completely deteriorates the basis for bringing it up.

How do I tactfully handle this situation?

I'd rather not be like all the single mom's i've heard of and go for child support, i'm financially struggling to take care of my son and my self. why are all the assistance programs focused towards single moms? i've asked for help from his mom, she's broke...but if he's at her house for more than two days, i'm a bad dad for not giving her my last $5...is there any assistance out there, not just for women??? Like WIC, but more like DIC {Dads In Crisis}...

My sister and her husband have a house that I have been taking care of for the past 5 years. They have a quick claim deed. She and husband are divorcing. Last year, she wrote me a notarized bill of sale for the house. How do I have the quick claim deed transferred into my name? The house does NOT have a current abstract and NO, I don't plan on getting one updated either. I plan on selling the house and splitting the monies with my sister.

Hello,
Thanks for your prompt reply. I am offering you $400 so you could sell the computer to me, I will be paying through usps money order. This is how it works, as soon as i make payment with usps and my payment is approved, they will notify both of us that, i have made payment of the amount.they will also let you know that, my payment has been approved and the money order will be mailed to your address once the item is shipped and the shipment tracking number sent to them.
I think its better and safe because, once they approve payment, its sure that the seller or whoever thats involved will definately receive the money order and thats why it takes them hours to approve after payment. The money order will be delivered to your door step upon approval of payment by usps.
Payment will be mailed to you by first class mail your address in 3 to 5 business day first class mail, once its processed.
As soon as payment tracking number is given unto you which signifies that payment

Communist China is upgrading their military with the profits from dealing with the west and western style nations. They will have an oil contract with Venezuela, therefore, they have no reason to improve civil liberties and civil rights. Manufacturing is the true way of earning capital. They opposed the US in Korea and in VietNam in a lesser role. Wal-Mart is a big supporter of taking manufacturing to them. General of the Army Douglas MacArthur would not have approved of Wal-Mart even though he was born in Little Rock Arkansas. The United States of America owes the People's Republic of China A LOT OF MONEY,because they have bailed the US out financially so do not be surprised if they become a bigger opposition to the USA than the Soviet Union was in the Cold War. The U.S.S.R. is extinct but not the People's Republic of China.

I work at a grocery store and we sell alcohol. A cashier sold alcohol to a minor and now for about 2 years they make us do these ID checks. We have to call over the intercom where the whole store can here that our customer is buying alcohol and they make us card even 80 year old men. If I were the customer I would be angry that the cashier is announcing over the store that I were buying alcohol and I would be annoyed and angry to show my ID if I were 80 years old. Do you feel the same? Is what my job doing inappropriate? The ID checks are pointless because the manger just nods their head at us that we can check an ID.

Since there are a lot of possible variables, here's my situation. I'm not planning on dying, just trying to figure how much life insurance I should have and what I can do ahead of time.
Single. Live with both parents. No dependents.
10k student loans
10k ING savings
10k stocks
2k IRA
2k credit card debt
4k car in my name

So far I've learned on Sallie Mae.com that student loans are eligible for discharge upon death. Good reason not to pay them off when you have a nice 3% interest rate.
Now, I'd like my parents to be able to just take my car, savings/checking accounts (they have the same bank), Roth IRA, and stocks in the event of my death. How can I allow them to do that?
Which of my debts become null? And what accounts can they claim without any effort? What can I do to make things easier for them? Also, how do taxes come into effect.
I hope others may find your answers useful as well.
