You need a better relationship or to communicate better. If the client needs "it" in 5 days and you need 1 day to do your thing then you need to get agreement for: 1) a 3-day deadline for her work or; 2) more time from your client. But once the deadline is set there is no more negotiation or bugging her either.

If she doesn't deliver then you need to find a new partner- she's being inconsiderate and immature. There is no need to excuse such behavior- many bright people I know can be respectful and meet a deadline.

The fact that she is talented, or that she is the creative person is not really the issue. It depends on what she expects, and what she thinks the nature of the relationship is. It also depends on how she responds to authority. This is a very touchy situation that requires insight about the person's character because, if you try to be "bossy" that could be disastrous. If she feels like she is in the superior role, then you will have to use a persuasive tactic, and not a bossy tactic. But, if she responds well when you are assertive, then you should try to take charge. It's all about the personality types. Either tactic can work just as well: persuasive, or assertive.

When I establish a deadline, I include the time for the review. The only prima donnas are the ones that make sure I meet my deadlines including reviews. I bow down to them. Don't manipulate.

Tell her to quit being such a biatch and get you the material so you can work up better presentations.

Or, you could find someone to work with that really WANTS to work and fire this one. I'll bet there are others out there just as talented, if not moreso.

dont give her a false deadline.
just give yourself more time btwn her finishing what she has to do and you presening the artworks.

and tell her what u told us.
remind her that if u dont get to present the artwork clearly and effectively because lack of time, then no one gets paid. even her.

I agree with all of the people who post the comment. How ever...you can tell that person how u feel and how the job is important to you and to her. if you can explain to her in a emotionally way, maybe she can understand u or somehing. if she don't understand you, ***** slap her...that's all I hav to say...
