I recently took out a loan on my 401k and the company I work for is charging me a fee every week so I am paying back the loan, a set up fee, the amount that normally goes into my 401k, and this weekly fee. I would like to know if they are supposed to do this. I would also like to know if it is legal for them to charge this weekly fee. Any answers would be greatly appreciated, also if you know where I could find this information in writing that would be great too.

For the past 9 years I've been a retail jewelry manager. I'm looking to start a family and want to step down from managment. I'm even willing to start over at the bottom in some circumstances but no one calls me back. When I interview people I have two ways of ending an interview. Either I say I'll you back to set up a followup interview (which means I'm going to call you back) or I say Thank you for coming out today, by next Wednesday we will be calling the 3 best candates for the position(which means I'm not going to call you back). What can I do get call backs? I'd really like to change jobs before the holiday season and now seems like the best time.

We live in NV, bought a 2006 Chevy Colorado last month from CA because they gave us the "best" price. They KNEW i was shoping around, I told them I wanted their bottom line price, everything included. They told me with taxes and fees what our final price would be. Well, when I was getting money out of the bank for the down payment, my boyfriend was signing the papers (the vehicle was delivered by an old guy, who just showed my bf where to sign). Like an idiot, my boyfriend signed all the papers showing him what the payment would be, how many months, etc. Well, he went to register the vehicle yesterday and was told by the DMV that we hadn't payed taxes on the vehicle and now owe $2000.00. I was FLOORED and completely pissed. Sure enough, on the contract it says "sales tax... N/A". I am LIVID that they screwed us over. Is that NORMAL practice NOT to include sales tax? This was our first car and we had NO idea what to look for in the contract... is there ANYTHING we can do?

***Serious answers only, please.***

These days most of my work colleagues are using "Best" as their email sign-off.

See you at the meeting.
Best,
Joe Schmoe

"Thanks" and "Sincerely" and "Regards" all seem so humdrum. So overused. And "Cheers" seems inappropriate.

Can anyone recommend a new, original, polite sign-off that would be appropriate for business emails?

Thank you!!

Industry base in my area is 45-47k, i have the experience and education to warrant it.

My last position in this field 2 yrs ago paid me 59k yr.

The hiring manager seems very reasonable. What do i say or write to begin the counter.

I know the maximum amount that can be given to a relative tax-free is $10,000 per year. Can someone give 10,000 in December, then another 10,000 in January?

In the state of Texas, how much should a family of two adults and two childeren (both under three years old) make every year to live comfortably? Comfortably doesn't mean luxerious. It means to be in the middle middle income level of society.

If I was a professional stuntman, and I was injured whilst performing a stunt which went wrong I could hardly prosecute my colleagues could I?
Professional stuntmen are hired to take risks, it's an occupational hazzard when, even with all the precautions, they get hurt, it's a known part of the job.

Cab drivers know that occasionally they may provide a transportation service for someone who refuses to pay, after having recieved a 'free' ride. Again, it's an occupational hazzard, part of the job.

So, if a whore doesn't get paid, should she be allowed to cry 'rape'?

And, assuming she had cried rape on a non-paying customer, what if during the investigation the customer subsequently came up with the payment? Would the customer still have to answer the fabricated rape charge?

Oh, and by the way, Stuntmen and Cab Drivers pay their taxes, yet they do not abuse the law.

Whores pay no tax and abuse the law.

How on Earth can that be fair?

Most people I know who are over 25 had to do a little time in Fast Food Hell. I only know a couple of people who didn't. If you're over 25 and have never worked in Fast Food Hell, why and how did you avoid it? What did you do instead?

I owe £17k on two credit cards and am struggling to keep up with the repayments. I do not own my own home so do not have any equity. The credit cards are not coming down due to the high interest and I cannot seem to get another one so I can at least transfer the balance to a 0% rate.

My combined income with my partner is £30k per year and we thought about getting a 125k mortgage to buy a small property and also to pay off the debt (but none of us have a great credit rating)

Does anyone know who would possibly help with either a mortgage or a £17k long term loan so we can get out of this financial mess.
