There usually are classes in college that will help you figure out what you might enjoy. The thing I would like to suggest is that you stick it out and get your degree. When I was in school, I got so hung up about picking a major that I dropped out (for a while) and it's really hard to go back (THANKS MOM!) Anyhow, I felt tremendous pressure that I had to pick the right major or I would be stuck doing something I didn't like - for the rest of my life!! Want to know something? Most people end up changing career paths at least 5 times in their lives. (I ended up studying Human Resources, so we studied this!) Also, while you might not like the idea, if you do go into a field and find out you don't like it, getting your second Bachelor's is a lot easier - you don't have to take GE!

Best of luck and GET THAT DEGREE!! :-)

Carlos: Having a C in math does not necessarily disqualify you for a scientific career...however, may prove to be a major stumbling block is you fail to keep up with your fellow students. Please consider tutoring as a strategy to determine you "weak" points.

Now, moving to a major in College. My suggestion is to arrange for a visit to your local University to discuss your plans. You will find that students are eager to discuss their educational experiences with other students, especially "future" students. Please arrange to visit the Computer Science department and the EE department and request a visit with some of the current students. You may want to visit with IEEE members and the equivalent Computer Science Engineering Society. Your HS counselor should be able to assist you on this matter.

Lastly, I found that having the desire to accomplish a goal is more important that your SAT scores...keep persevering because the sky is not the limit.

Start looking at fields that are getting laid off. Anything to do with technology is a risky field. Allot of these jobs are being farmed out overseas. People who are in these field are also having to compete with people with more experience who are will to take a pay cut just to make money.
Just an idea, Jobs that will always be in demand are medical and something to do with law enforcment.
