You should be more specific what goods you would like to receive.

For retail, you would first check the invoice, compare it to the goods delivered, fill in a GRV (Goods Received Voucher), or any other document laid down by the company, stamp it as received, and sign it.

first, make sure you can legally receive them. second, have a place to store the goods. Have contracts with the shipper and the receiver, as far as when the shipper will send out the goods, and when and how the receiver will get the goods.
