How much should a family of two adults and two kids make a year to live comfortably?

In the state of Texas, how much should a family of two adults and two childeren (both under three years old) make every year to live comfortably? Comfortably doesn't mean luxerious. It means to be in the middle middle income level of society.

You need to sit down and figure out all your expenses for each month & don't forget EVERTHING, soaps, detergents, haircuts... entertainment... and multiply it by 12. Decide how much "extra" money you think you should have every month for pleasure or unexpected expenses, car repairs, home repairs.... And you should get your answer.
I know what you mean about just wanting to be comfortable. I want to be comfortable enough that if I want name brand steak sauce I can get it instead of the store brand, lol.
We're not very comfortable, but we're not flat broke either. I consider us to be lower middle class/upper low class. :-)
