So here's the next question in my credit-card cleanup.
I have a card that I just paid off, and it has an excellent APR on purchases. Now, I'm sure I should just ask the credit company, but why not pick the brains of the Yahoo! Answerers out there and see what you think?
How long do I need to have the card at $0 balance to stop getting hit with finance charges? The card I have charges on the average daily balance, which can be quite high in a month I've had a lot of activity, even if I paid off the last statement in full. I don't think my card has a "no charges on new purchases" clause but I can find out. It is a Chase Amazon.com Visa, signed up for it several years ago when the AP was a fixed 8.9%
What I'd like to do, though, is get the card to $0 balance and just continue to pay off in full monthly, to avoid finance charge. Or, is it too late for that now?

Thanks!

I have a section 8 tenant who burned down our house. The insurance is covering costs to rebuild, and tenant is now worried where her and her family will live until the house is rebuilt. Now I'm confused what happens next. I'm worried about having to continue to pay my mortgage without having a renter's check every month. Haven't contacted section 8 yet about the matter but I assume they will stop paying me since the tenants aren't living there for the time being. Tenants are being put up by the Red Cross for now, but will have to find other options to live since we can't afford to pay our mortgage AND find them a new place to live. Anyone have any suggestions?

If I make an international bank transfer whilst abroad (from my British account into the Dutch account of my new estate agents) and the amount is slightly more than the funds I have in my account, can it draw the funds for the transfer from my pre-agreed overdraft?

I couldn't see a reason why not, but then you never know...

I'd call the bank except of course it's the bank holiday weekend and no-one's there!

Thanks,
Jane

My boss is very nasty and mean to me all of the time for no reason at all. He begrudges me of the relationship that I have with one of my co-workers that he does not get along with. Recently I worked hours that would be considered overtime and did not get compensated for them. I researched the issue with the Labor and Industry as well as Wage and Hour and other sources as well and they all told me that I deserve the overtime pay. If I report him he would get a minimum $10,000 fine and they would audit him. I'm sure he knows the law and just thinks that I'm stupid and am not going to take further action. What should I do?
