Right now I'm working as a cashier in a casino, and the tips aren't that great. Not only do I work with 20+ cashiers but the state takes 35% of it. What are some things I could work on to make more tips besides delivering great service? What could I do that would make YOU want to tip?

I wear a uniform, there's no way I can show cleavage. Nor do I want to work at Hooters.

Great service is key.

It sounds like you want answers such as 'show cleavage', 'flirt', 'wear short skirts', etc. These things will only go so far and really won't work for a cashier. Try becomming a waitress at Hooters if you want to do that sort of thing.

I read once this woman worked really hard on applying her makeup carefully every night and that really helped.

maybe getting a makeover would help too --like the whole hair deal, and wearing some nice jewelry.

also --talk to and watch carefully people who make a lot in tips and do what they do.

Sweets is right. Model or copy any mate that is successful getting a lot of tips.
When dealing with a client, LOOK HIM at his eyes, smile and speak very clearly when you say "My job here is making sure you enjoy your stay, is there any question you have or any information you need? I'll gladly do my best to help".
