It appears that "working capital" is the difference between current assets and current liabilities.
What is the real significance of this? What is the significance of "changes in working capital"? I can easily find a definition for this online, but need a more intuitive understanding.
For example:
"The purchase price for all the businesses acquired was $186.0 million, including transaction costs and an adjustment relating to working capital in the three months ended June 30, 2006."

What does the purchase price of an asset have to do with changes to working capital?

Im a little slow on this, and need a clearer explanation.
Thanks for any help!

So my aunt and uncle are suing my cousin and her boyfriend because her boyfriend got in a car accident with their vehicle before they signed the title over. They have absolutely no money, and have already tried credit cards and loans. My cousin is 19 and I believe her boyfriend is 21-22, so they're both still young, so they don't have a lot of options. What are their options to come up with the money? Also, how does the court system work? They don't have the money, so how does the court go about getting money from them?

-customers
-employees
-stockholders
-creditors
-community
-environment

I found a huge credit card directory... Does the credit card you apply for make a difference on your credit report?

If I apply for a poor credit credit card - http://www.affiliatetier.com/credit_repair/credit_cards.php - Would this effect my credit report?

If I apply for a really great credit card like American Express Blue: http://www.affiliatetier.com/credit_repair/credit_cards.php?review=23 - Would this look good on my credit report if I am approved? And would this look really bad on my report if I am denied compared to a poor credit credit card?

I have been reviewing all the credit cards: http://www.affiliatetier.com/credit_repair/credit_cards.php & found http://www.affiliatetier.com/credit_repair/credit_cards.php?review=23 to have an overall rating and benefit rating as the highest so far... I am scared to apply if I get turned down and it shows on my credit report as being turned down by a GOOD credit card...

In the next ten years, I will be considering retirement. I am interested in a suburban setting near a good size city, probably in the mid-west. Low crime, good neighbors, low prices would be appealing. Dallas and Oklahoma City come to mind first. I would appreciate some insight by others.

Could you please tell me which databases/ sites could give me the best comparison of these companies on a global scale. I want to analyse the strategy/ strengths/ weaknesses of these companies (Barclays GI, Goldman Sachs, Fidelity, UBS, Merrill Lynch, AXA IM, BNP Paribas AM, Credit Agricole AM, SGAM... and many more).
Even if the data has to be paid for, I would like information on that.

Please dont tell me go googling. I have tried that but none of the sites I saw had a good comparison. All the sites have only their financial analysis which is not what I am looking for.

Your valuable answers are appreciated. Thank you.

I have an offer to take a job in Kuwait but the offer is not much more than I make for a similar job here in the states but the job there has a greater responsibility and scope than my current job here. They are basically offering less than I make here and claiming you will save on your income tax. Your thoughts?

My credit card has an APR of 12.9%. I just got the credit card, and it's my first one... and I want to figure something out before I go and use it. If I go out today and spend $100, and assume (neglect the minimum payment) that I don't pay any of it back for a year, does that mean after an entire year they will have added $12.90 to my balance, or is that $12.90 each month? I'm confused...
