You can put a stop payment on anything, but you should have a good reason for it.

If you didn’t use it. Take it back. If you need an extension because your boss is paying you late. Then ask for one. It will cost less than if you didn’t pay them at all. Otherwise, they will automatically deduct the payment out your checking account if you don’t make other arrangements
