My friend received a escrow check in her deceased fathers name. She paid off the mortgage on his home which he shared with her and her husband. all of their names were on the loan, her dad was the primary borrower. she wants to deposit it into her account, but of course he's not here to endorse it to her. what can she do??

I own a 2bd/ba condo in a ski town. I bought it in Feb of 2005. Because of circumstances way beyond my control, I have to move away, perhaps indefinitely.
It is possible that I will return in a year, or find that over the next 12 months I have to sell. At this stage, the investment is increasing at 7% a year. I expect that trend will continue for the next 15 years, or longer.
If I buy another home, what concerns should I consider, ie taxes, second-home owner, rent out the 1st place, etc.
I will also be moving out-of-state which I know changes some tax or something... From Colorado to Wisconsin

A friend works for a eye doctor. They are billing people for bills as old as 5 years old. These people seen the doctor and they submited there claim to the insurance and recieved there money but did not bill the patient for the remaning bill. They claim they got behind but some of these bills are 5 years old. most are 2-3 years old. Course all the patients are cussing and holloring at her so she is pretty upset about it. Can a doctor bill this late when it was there fault. When my friend brought it up to accounting they were like we'll when we moved we found old file records. So it is there fault for not keeping up with it. I know if it was me I would be pretty pissed off as well. Is there a limit to how long they can wait to bill someone?

He asked her if the cell phone would work in our little town and she said "yes, of course" and I informed her the cell phone is in dead space in our town and she then proceeded to ask me if I pushed 3 buttons to upgrade the phone and I told her Yes when I lost my home service. She became hateful and nasty when I told her again the area was dead space and tried to lie to my son to sell him a phone. Should I report her or was I being to assertive?

I used it when I first bought it and it worked one time. Latel I put $25 on it to use on the internet and it will not work. Do not buy these cards EVER I am reporting them to the BBB and hope they get sued.

I usually answer these questions, but now I'm puzzled. I just purchased my score from Equifax and Experian through the MyFICO.com site. Equifax came back as 813 listing a handful of positive factors and stating that because it's so high there are no negative factors. Experian gave me 819, no positive factors, and two negative factors (recent credit and a high balance) that seem to indicate that if they had used the same method to arrive at the score as Equifax, it would be even higher.

I thought everyone used the same factors, just gave them slightly different point values. Why would one say everything is way cool, and the other slap my hand for buying a new car and getting a Kohl's charge? (They have really great sales for cardholders! I had to. :)

I moved to Atlanta 2 years ago and it took 6 months to find a job. It took 1 1/2 hours, one way, to get to work everyday and 300.00/month on gas so that only lasted for 4 months before I left. After that I did temp work at various agencies until something became permanent. I was offered a better position after 4 months and have been here for the last 4 months. This time here has been filled with financial instability so I am returning to school to improve my situation. However, there is a great job in NYC where I am moving but I don't know how to condense the past two years of ridiculous situations into something positive. Please help. Thank you.
