Indeed it is. All of the engineering fields are in demand. With a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, I'd venture to say you can start out at about $40,000 plus a year.

Used to be; now it's heading into outsource purgatory, just like all engineering. To most companies, you're just labor.
But if you like it, try it for a few years! But always get more education just in case it dries up one day.
I'm an engineer and am halfway through my MBA. Got to have a back up plan.
