Yes, I would if you are really interested.
It would also show them that you are. I've done this before and have successfully gotten the job.

Yes, call back. Leave one message, "I'm very interested in the opportunity, and am calling to follow up on what my next steps should be to pursue this position". Then, when you call back in the future, don't leave a message (stalker feeling) but try to catch your contact live.
If after one week you hear nothing (or even sooner), find a great reason to drop them a note (on nice stationary, etc), wth an article that relates to the busienss they're in. It shows you are sincere and care about trends in the industry, and shows you're dedicated.
Always write a thank you note for human contact. You would be astonished how many people take your time but don't say thanks afterwards - no one wants that person working for them.
And in the meantime, don't keep waiting. Keep looking and interviewing and making a network so that you've got lots of options. Good luck! Never be shy to use contacts or guts to make your career move forward - that's how it's done, and this is the time in your life to do it. Have the confidence you can add value, and let them know that.

You could send a thank you note. I interview people several times a year and it's like trying to get the lesser of all the evils rather than hiring someone who is good. I just choose what I hope is the least loser. Oh, my point was, I HATE people to call me, but I would be impressed with a note. That took time and forethought.

Definitely call them back. It shows that you are genuinely interested. And as to thank you notes, as an employer, I usually regard that person as a brown-noser and don't bother.
