First, you need to hire an attorney. There are attorneys who specialize in SSI, Social Security, and Disability Income. Second, you need to apply IMMEDIATELY with your local Department of Human Resources, and Department of Housing and Urban Development for all assistance that they have available. Apply for ALL OF IT. You may be eligible for housing assistance, section 8 housing, food stamps, workforce assistance, etc. Also, notify your utility companies RIGHT NOW of your disability and problems resulting from it. They will also work with you. They may be able to provide you a flat rate (sometimes called "budget billing") or help you find other assistance. Many churches will help you out. Just go and talk to them!!! It doesn't even have to be a christian church. Synagogues and Mosques also have programs to help. You do NOT need to be a member.

Talk to churches, a lawyer, SSI, even social services, family, friends, even your landlord. Tell everyone of your situation and ask humbly for any help. And make sure you use the money for what they gave it to you for. Eat pasta, potatoes, and pancakes alot. Eat as cheap. Cut out everything you can have a yard sale if you can't where you live then a friends or flee market. Ask family friends and nieghbors for old things to donate for your yard sale. Babysit. You need to get every penney you can. collect cans and bottles and ask for them. Cash out some of your 401k Yes it will hurt when tax time comes but you need to do it.

First, it would help if we knew what state you were in. There are many help organizations out there. Do you have a church you go to? They may be able to help. Go to your local Welfare office or Salvation Army. Talk to friends and relatives. Good luck. Hope it all works out. I've been homeless, so I know what you are going through.

Wow, $247.00 a week, only suggestion is start trimming your expenses. Get rid of anything that is not needed. As far as your rent, $4000 dollars is allot of money to be behind. You are the type of people that stops me from getting additional property to rent out.

I would get a consultation with an attorney who specializes in SS benefits and ask them. They would probably be able to direct you to someone who can help !
