I noticed the first collection agency name "Arrow Financial Service' was reporting on my credit report for a debt and was updated in July 2006, then I recieved a letter from in infamous Ken Hughes ( Merchants Credit Guide} on July 6, 2006, about the same debt for First Premier Bank. I have been keeping up copies of my credit report and it shows that account was 30 days late as of Oct. 2000 and it led to a charge off in Feb. 2001. What I want to know will "KEN" try to re-age this debt? I hear rumors about him all the time. The SOL in my state is 7 years.

It's not that I care so much about it, I learn to deal...but my co-workers at every job I have hate me! I'm quite, and shy at first, but I do warm up. I make it a habit to always use eye contact, I don't fool around with the office politics and I am jovial and ethical when it comes to working. However, my co-workers at my last few jobs just don't like me. Once in a while, a few males co-workers will befriend me, but I usually realize they want to date and then it's over with. I don't put down other co-workers and when other people do, I defend them. I hear them talking about me--though they know NOTHING about me or who I am. They don't even know if I'm married or have kids or anything.

But should I even care? Should I just do the best job I can do and let it go? Wouldn't that be the honorable way to go? What would you think if you worked with someone like I described?

Am i off the mark here with thinking that i can take out a home equity loan to pay off my 20% mortgage loan? I didn't have the 20% down payment when i bought my place, so i took out a 20% loan @ 9.75% to cover that and avoid the PMI. Can i take out a home equity loan to pay this off, while paying back the home equity loan at a much lowwer rate? Or am i better off refinancing after paying my mortgage for at least a year?

Hey everyone! I'm looking to buy a home. My apt lease is up at the end of Oct. 2006. It's currently mid-July. Do I have enough time to find a home and close or should I extend my lease? I'm working on my credit score and down payment but want to think realistically about a time frame. Any agents or brokers out there that can help?? I have worked for this co. for over 3 years. This year I didn't get a raise because they said it being a small business they aren't giving raises this yr. They let this man that use to work there come in and he is getting paid lots of money in cash under the table. I feel cheated. This man can go anytime and move on richer than I am and he isn't paying any taxes and neither is the co. I don't see how this is right to do.

if u wrote an anonymous letter at your work but mailed it from outside thru the postal system about a co-worker tha lied on their employment application would the employer tell the guilty employee a letter was sent anonymously and what the contents were? or will it be gossip in the office. In short can the employee that migth get fired who the person was that told on him?

I am a manager of a huge apartment complex. There have been many residents that have told me that the maintenance man has not been doing his job. (we work different shifts) I work first and he comes in after I get off. I have heard that he spends lots of time in one certain apartment and gets jobs done quickly for one specific resident. Takes a week or longer for other jobs. He stands around talking to residents or chatting on his cell phone. How can I catch him? I live on site. I'd have to go through my regional to have him fired. I am in a fire at will state.Advice please.

Please help!!!!

I have a fashion company which is California C Corporation with 2 DBAs with less than10 employees.
One of the fashion brand (DBA) is closed permanently as of this month.
However, the closed brand(DBA) has ongoing magazine advertisement contract.
1.7 issue / year – they already placed our ad for 3 past issues and 4 more future issues are pending.
2.Contract is under DBA name, not the Corporation name.

We seized operation completely, the department is closed, and employees are no longer with company. At this point we really don’t need any advertisement.

What should we do?
Do we still have obligation for this contract?
Can they still force us to put future ad for non-exist fashion brand?
