i have been told that straightening rods will destroy the hair...and will even result in hair loss and dandruff..
is this true?
or should i go ahead with the idea of using it?

I had my hair foiled and when they were done, some pieces were yellow/brassy. When I say this I mean inside the foil some, white and some gold/yellow. The more I foil it, the more colors I get. I have natural color (medium brown), yellow/brassy, blonde, and it looks almost gray. We put a redken shades on it 09N (cafe au lait) and 09NB (irish cream). I have two desperate questions. Can I get my entire hair colored to my natural, or as close as I can get it and right after that put foils in. I was thinking this way I can start from scratch. My second question is omeone also told me to ask for Redden Shades 09G (Vanilla creme), would that help reach the color I wanted in the beginning (creamy vanilla)? Even if someone put it on my hair as it is now. I also take medicine everyday for severe leg pain, could this have something to do with my color not turning out. Thank you so much for your time and help. I would rather be medium brown any day then to have this yellow tone.

I had been wondering; why is the hairstyle that's called "Emo", actually called "Emo"? Why does the majority of people think that people with that hairstyle are sadists? I don't really get it. Because people without that hairstyle can be worse than the "Emos". Why I mean?

In the past, I have permed and colored my hair, I have stopped doing that and now just wash it and allow it to dry. No matter what shampoo I use it leaves my hair feeling dry while I am shampooing it. I have to use a conditioner every day to be able to comb thru it. The length is down to the middle of my back, I am a female with brown hair which is straight and fine hair. What can I use that will make my hair feel healthier so I don't need to use a conditioner every day? I have tried both professional and store brand shampoos and conditioners, they all make my hair feel dry. Please Help. Hair dressers advice would be much appreciated.

I am recently begin working out, and I need to get something done to my hair. Just to get my own hair shampooed and styled will fall so easily while working out. I am trying to find a style that will withhold the workout and sweat. I am starting to feel like braiding in my only option.

For african american hair?

If you can't answer that, what do you think is the best quality one?

Have you tried it, and most importantly, where can I get, and the price range.

Thank you.

I dyed my hair burgundy with a semi-permanent, over brown hair, and I would like to find a store bought way to get the red out. My hair is dark brown with a slight red tint to it. What color would work best to get it back to dark brown?

I tried Garnier Frictis, but it comes back on that same day. Is there any other shampoo that helps keep the dandruff away for a longer time?

2007-02-22 03:04:01 · 7 answers · asked by Anonymous

am using Aussie dual purpose shampoo and conditioner now for oily and dry hair. its pretty good. but i need something to treat the dandruff that comes with it and also some frizziness.
my hair is kinda thick, since i did that japanese hair straightening thing, which toned down the poofyness, though i still have some volume.
all in all, i would like something that combines all 4(oily, dry, dandruff & frizz), or something that will help.

thank you!

How do you long haired maintain such long hair???????

2007-02-22 02:28:19 · 15 answers · asked by Anonymous

I know this question has been asked before but now I need my own answers.

I have really thick hair and I own a ceramic straightener.

This is how I straighten my hair, I wash it, blow dry , comb it and then just start straightening.

Should I be putting an gel or spray in between or after?
And when I straighten my hair, the ends do not straighten properly, they are still a bit frizzy. And I start from the scalp like the directions say.
Please help, what should I be doing?!
