you need to stay far away from sulfate in shampoo and conditioner, why, well it's used even in these 'color treatements' it's salt and will fade the dark color and dul the rest, you need to probally get some all natural shampoo and conditioner without this in it, alba has a line won't hurt your hair I don't think there sulfate in it, but panteene pro-v will do more harm then good also consider getting a clarol shine it's like the hair dye but a gloss that last 4 weeks and will help lock the color in, i got one at cvs for 8.95 not bad price and will help a lot and make the hair look healthier and not change the color

Tres Semme (i have red and blonde highlights both which were meant to fade within a month or 2... 6 months later and they r still v. bright!!! Good if u like the colour but i'm sick of my "ginger" hair now :S)

Hiya my cousin is a hairdresser and he always tells me to use Tigi Catwalk's Fashionista shampoo and conditioner it works really well on hair like yours as I have dark hair with gold and golden blonde highlights and this smells beautiful so get it :)

Use Patene Pro-V Blonde expressions. I know you said you don't like shampoos just for coloured hair, but it really works well! I've had my highlights in my hair for 1 year & even thoguh the roots arre showing, my highlights look bright & gorgeous, like they were when i first got them! Soyou should try it, it works really well & you've got nothing to lose.

use the john freida range cos dey say dat u shud use da colour shampoo dat matches wid ya highlights so choose da sheer blonde 1..u can get it 4rm boots n superdrug...or loreal elvive nutri-gloss is reli gd 2 it always makes ya hair reli shiny n soft...

for shine try Garnier Fructis Repleishing Conditioning Mask. yhoo wash yhoor hair as normal and then leave this conditioner in for 3 minutes. its realli great and leaves a luvly shine that well definetly get folks attention ;)

Have you tried DOVE Advanced Color Care?? I use it cause I have my hair hightlighted, and I love it! It keeps my color looking fresh (not dull), and feeling soft. Plus it smells good! I buy it at walmart, both the conditonar and shampoo. Hope I could help!!
