I've been straightening my hair every day with a hair straightener for a few weeks... And lately, I've been getting a lot of split ends. I have to straighten my hair every day, or my hair will look weird because it's layered. How can I do this without damaging my hair?

Although I can result to the Tyra..Beyonce style with some hair out in the front. I want to know if anyone knows the proper way to apply a sew in so that NONE of your own hair is out. I know that you can go in a beehive ( with the braids) but it leaves that ugly middle. Please help...or is it best to stick with a little bit out in the front

I want to dye my hair using wella products. my hair is dark & i want it to be light brown/blondish. In order to do that, i have to bleach my hair. What do you suggest i use? in what order? Of course, i would use Color Charm. but in some sites it says to use Regenal after you bleach your hair and after you use Color Charm. im a lil bit confused. help?

for a the past year my hair has been gradually getting more damaged, thinner and shorter. in august i started a new treatment and it helped with the damage and the thickness, but my hair isnt any longer. to make matters worse, my hair grows faster onone side than the other so its REALLY uneven. i need a trim, but i know the beautician if just gonna chop off all my hair to make it even. please help. right now my hair is to like the middle of my neck in the back and the short side of my hair is at like my eyebrows.

showering everyday with hot water will cause you to start losing hair and eventually become bald.

i am pretty pale
i have really dark almost black hair
my hair now is@ the bottom of where my bra is
i want it to make my face look slimer
not to short
and right now i have layers but u cant really tell now cuz its all grown out and stuff.....how should i get it cut?

I have a sew in hair weave with sensationnel brand hair, and it is really nice. the texture is straight, dark color. i wanted to ask the lovely yahoo community the best way to care for this hair so that it wont be all matted and shedding. the quality is great, but i know aside from the bi-weekly wash by my beautician, there must be something I can do or put into it to keep it looking neat and good for at least a month and a half....

I had long hair that I would straighten and wash once a week. I am a working Mum and don't have time to style it everyday. I wanted something just below my shoulders and with a bit of movement in it, but still needed to be able to wear it up.
I ended up with a short style (about 10 cm's too short) which I can barely scrape up into this miniscle bun and I need clips to hold it back. My hairdresser knew full well I only did my hair once a week and now I have to do it nearly everyday, apart from the fact that I detest it and am borderline depressed over it. The colour has also faded off and it has only been in two weeks.
Should I go somewhere else and get them to fix it and never go back there? Or ring back, complain and get them to do something with it and re colour it? I don't want this girl ever touching my hair again (it's not the first time she has done an average job) so it will be really uncomfortable for everyone if another hairdresser from there starts doing my hair.

i recently went to a professional salon to get my hair done, i only asked for highlights of a deep burgundy color since my hair is black and i didnt want anything too dramatic...well instead of the dark burgundy color my highlights came out bright fire red totally not what i wanted...so anyways im just wondering what anyone else would have done if your not happy with the results from a professional salon?

When I wash my hair and comb it after I wash it when it is wet I lose about 15 hairs. I just realized that all of the hair falling out is when I am blow drying it. I put a towel underneath my hair when I am blow drying it, and that's where it all falls out, and then after when I tug at the ends after blow drying it, it comes out then. Also, if I brush it after blow drying it that's also when the hair is falling out. I blame alot of it on the blowdryer. My question is that I wonder if the majority of hair that falls out from blowdrying is coming out from the root or just breaking. Is all of this hair fall normal. You wonder if your hair is really growing back.

My hair dresser told me that if I continue to use this brand of shampoo, the dandruff would build up instead of going away and it would eventually clog my hair follicles and stop my hair from growing. She told me i would go bald. Is this true? what do you think. I need help because i dont want to lose all my hair. this is a major decision i cant make by myself

i tried combing it straight as i blow dry, doesn't work. i can't seem to get the straightening iron close enough to smooth it out. it just seems to look weird when i pull my hair back. i used all kinds of conditioning treatments and a few serums for frizzies, but doesn't seem to work good enough. but, i don't want to just cut it off.

Why do women who were naturally light blonde as teenagers turn dark blonde as adults? My wife had light blonde hair until the age of 15 then her hair turned dark blonde naturally. The same happened to my 2 sisters. Why does this happen?
