In the past, I have permed and colored my hair, I have stopped doing that and now just wash it and allow it to dry. No matter what shampoo I use it leaves my hair feeling dry while I am shampooing it. I have to use a conditioner every day to be able to comb thru it. The length is down to the middle of my back, I am a female with brown hair which is straight and fine hair. What can I use that will make my hair feel healthier so I don't need to use a conditioner every day? I have tried both professional and store brand shampoos and conditioners, they all make my hair feel dry. Please Help. Hair dressers advice would be much appreciated.

When was the last time you went to a salon to have a trim? it sounds like you have some damaged hair and needs to get those ends trimmed up. While you there, have them do a deep conditioner under the dryer. You can also try the hot oil treatments you get buy at the store and apply heat. If you don't have a dryer that you can sit under. Take a towel wet it (stick it in your microwave fore a couple of minutes or use hot water), ring it out. After you apply the deep conditioner, wrap the hot towel on your hair and then put a plastic bag over the towel. 20 - 30 mintues should give it plenty of time for the conditioner to penetrate the hair shaft and get some hydration back in your hair.

Trimming the ends (even 1/4 - 1/2 inch) every 6-8 weeks will help keep your hair healthy and get those bad ends off so the healthy hair can grow. also, make sure you use a comb and not a brush on wet hair.

Good luck.

Don't shampoo every day. Also, why are you so against conditioner? Some people must use it every time (I do) just b/c some hair is just naturally drier than others. I recommnd getting a hair cut or a trim to get rid of the dry ends and then using a good shampoo like Biolage and a conditioner like Revlon Extreme. Ask your hair dresser- they shoudl know what that is. It is the blue bottle. Then, a leave in conditioner called "Anti Snap" also made by Revlon.

Sounds like you need more than just the daily conditioner.
Here's what I would do...
Purchase a Quality Professional Hair Re-constructor (Sebastian, Focus 21, Paul Mitchell, Sea Plasma etc.)
Put as much of the product on as your hair will allow, put a plastic cap on and use the hair dryer for at least 20 min.
The heat will open the cuticle on the hair shaft and allow the product to penetrate the shaft, giving your hair the body and moisture it needs. I would leave the product on until you absolutely need to rinse it out, then do so.
Now to lock in that product and those results...
use a cellophane wrap treatment, also available at The Beauty supply store...Called Jazzing, just ask they'll point you to it. Costs around $8, follow directions and you're good to go for 6-8 weeks, incredible shine!
Also don't use cheap hair products, they have a high detergent content and will strip away the Shine treatment.

In my opinion, you should stop fussing with your hair; just let it be natural. Maybe what you should try is not to shampoo and condition your hair everyday; try every other day; I have read that putting too much stuff in your hair isn't good. I don't know what shampoos you have tried, but I would suggest Loreal or Pantene. These shampoos and conditioners work great!

I'm not a hairdresser but did you try not shampooing every day - they say not to - that's one thing - the other at Sephora (probably other stores too) they sell Ojan which is a treatment you put in your hair (it's greasy so not to be applied if you're going out) but if you have some time to let it absorb - works wonders! i've use it - i have curly thick hair but gets dry at times... maybe try that? good luck nothing worse than burnt hair.. :-)

attempt Paul Mitchell large charged moisturizer. additionally yet another solid conditioner is Nexxus be certain via fact of that is ph stability and you will use it as a flow away in conditioner, in case you employ basically a splash, too lots might make your hair seem greasy. in case you employ a impressive style of hair spray or mousse on your hair it must be drying it out. attempt to no longer use those products in extra for a quick time and your hair would be in solid shape earlier you understand it. additionally staying interior the sunlight lots dries out your hair. I take solid care of my hair and attempt to no longer overdo on the mousse and hair spray. i'm getting compliments on my hair each and all of the time. My hair is long with blonde highlights it rather is many times style of dry.

try garnier fructis sleek and shine
it has fruit micro oils in it that will restore your natural oils in your scalp.
also, do not wash your hair every day, that could be playing a part in stripping your hair from its natural oils.
garnier works great.. only use this type for your hair.
i used this not knowing it had oils in it, and i have normal hair.. but it made mine really soft, too oily for me, since i don't have dry hair, but i'm sure it'll work great for you!
