I had been wondering; why is the hairstyle that's called "Emo", actually called "Emo"? Why does the majority of people think that people with that hairstyle are sadists? I don't really get it. Because people without that hairstyle can be worse than the "Emos". Why I mean?

It's called that because it's the style that alot of "emo" music artist follow by. "Emo" meaning emotional. Usually they are described as that because they can be dark and dreary and to some people they do look like sadists. I agree with what you're saying but sometimes it is hard not to judge someone by their appearance if its so defined like that (not just the hair but the guys who wear the black make-up and what not)

i think sadists is the wrong word here. it doesnt mean sad. haha.
it got names that way because fans of emo music all started wearing the same hairstyle. it just become synonymous.

Well because its for emo people like chavs for insantce if you saw maybe a skin head or a fringe with spikey hair you'd usually see that as a chav boy rather then long hair for indie/rocker.
etc. Emo hairs usually hair thats over the eyes they usually cant see and bang into walls alot. haha sorry my joke.

the hairstyle is call emo for a reason its for emo people!if u had ur hairstyle emo than people will think ur emo ....

There is a name 4 everything they just happen to name that the emo style and now it is.Just like that whole thing about rainbows being the symbol for gay and lesbeins you know what i mean!
