How old were you when you obtained your license?? I'm 23 and I am saving up to go to hair school in another year. I got a degree and to a point I feel like I wasted alot of time (about 5 years of school and putting off hair school). Every since 3rd grade, I have wanted to do this, I used to draw hairstyles in my book all the time. I don't know I feel so stupid sometimes. I have a good job where I make good salary and commission but I cannot see myself for a long time, but I can see myself owning my own salon one day traveling to beauty conventions and just enjoying fashion. What do like most about your job???

I used a permanent dye and followed instructions 100% .

1 day later i wash my hair again it washed out in the water leaving my hair a medium brown/red color!

What am i doing wrong and how can i prevent this?

Since I was in the 3rd grade, I've wanted to be a hair stylist, but I was so scared to do it, becuz my parents wanted me to graduate from college. I did it. I majored in psychology knowing I was going to go right in to cosmetology school. Well, nevertheless, I let my mama talk me into going to graduate school, I did it and dropped out. Now my husband doesn't think now isn't the right time. Well I opened my own savings account w/out him knowing it. I got a great job working for the financial industry and I get good salary and commission but I know my passion is hair and beauty. My plan is to save money for hair school quit my job and go full time. I'm giving myself one year. I'll be 24 in June, is it too late???

my hair is around two inches long now and its taking weird shapes. i have thick and strong hair like barbed wire so no gels will work on it. any suggestions on how i can keep it looking smooth?

I know this might sound really gross but I wash my hair at night, and I wash it well, then I try to wash all the shampoo out and then it still dries on my head and forms flakes! Its really gross! Does any one have a soulution that I can find in the house?

I am considering going beauty school and I was wondering if anyone has gone to beauty school after going to a legitimate 4 year college. I went to one of the top rated schools for psychology in the country and just graduated with my degree. I am not interested/nor do I have the 3.7gpa I need to go to graduate school. What I have found by looking at jobs is that I don't hardly qualify for any entry level positions, and if I do they usually start at about $20-25k a year. What I am wondering is if I should go to beauty school or just look for jobs that I qualify for. I know that the girl who does my hair makes close to 80k a year. Shes younger than me and has a brand new suv, is buying a house, all while being a single mom. I went to college and I can't find a job now and I have loans to pay off in 5 months!
Is beauty school practical?
How much money does someone usually make after graduation of beauty school?
Can I go to beauty school while working full time?
Cost of going?

i was washing my hair with nexus shampoo..but the thing is, it wont come out!! no matter how much i scrub and wash it....what should i do?? take another shower + use a different shampoo to get the other stuff out of my hair??

About a month ago I highlighted my dark blonde hair, and I screwed it up. ( I know I shouldn't have done it at home but its all I could afford at the time)
Anyway, I can not stand what it looks like right now. I highlighted it a lighter blonde color, and I applyed to much at the roots, and it didnt go evenly on my hair. I really want to do something to fix it, either dye it again or find someway to take the color out.

A few months ago, I had my hair highlighted. My hair is a brassy blonde and it was more a platinum shade. Last night, I decided to dye it all one color since I was sick of the contrast between the highlights and the dark roots. My hair came out fine-- it's back to it's natural hair color. But can I still get highlights done at the salon this week? Or should I wait since I just dyed it? Any help would be appreciated.

I heard that if you rinse out conditioner with
