ahh i had to do the same thing, my mom was like NOWAY are you dying it blonde, so then i said im just going to get "suttle" highlights instead and that one of my friends had just got it done and you can hardly see them, and that it just makes it a bit lighter. but then i got a full head of highlights and just acted as if i didnt know it would go that blonde. then just kept going back for a full head of highlights!! and now its completely blonde! its like easing your mom into the idea and trust me if it worked with MY mom itll work with yours!! hope this helped!!!

Well, is easy.
1. Try to find out if your mother really likes a blond actress or model and tell her that, if I color my hair blond, I will look so pretty like her.
2. Hey Mom, you want a pretty daughter right? I think if I color my hair blond I will look good. We can try and if it doesn't turn out well then we color it back.
3. Tell you friends' mother to have a chat with your mother and bring up the topic about coloring hair, generally they listen to the mothers.

Good Luck!

Have your mom "help you" with picking out your hair color, ask for suggestions, tell her that you want to make sure that you are picking something that with flatter your skin tone and you want to get her advice so you will look good. I think if you talk to your mother like an adult and have "involved" in the situation, it would make her feel like your no doing something too drastic, you trust her opinon, and the two of you are doing something together!

She's right. Don't do it. Its very heavy maintenance, costly, damaging, and the shade is never "right" or what you wanted. Trust me.
