I used it years ago, it worked great, I used it very sparingly to get some gold highlights as my hair has darkened as I have gotten older. I was always very careful to underdo rather than overdo because I wanted it to look very natural - I think I'd be in the sun or use a blow drying for 1/2 hour or 45 minutes.
I have heard since that it is very damaging to your hair. I do remember getting some split ends - which I never get now because I leave my hair completely natural and take really good care of it...

I'm an old user of Sun In, and it's a terrible product. First, it smells bad and makes your hair an awful brassy color. If you use it and then try to use a heat product such as a straightner, your hair turns to mush before your eyes. I like to experiment with different beauty products, and usually I can find something nice to say about them but Sun In has taken it to a new low. That being said, I would not use it on my eyebrows. If it drips down into your eyes, the chemicals could hurt you very badly. If you want to lighten your hair or put in some highlights, you are better off spending the money at a salon.

Sun-In does work. But, it is very drying for your hair and will be very brassy. You can achieve the very same effect (for much cheaper) by spraying Hydrogen Peroxide on your hair and hitting it with a hot blow dryer. Neither is recommended, however. Do not attempt this on eyebrows at all!

I've never used it, but I know a girl who did. Her hair looked great, until she went to get a perm and the two chemicals combined made most of her hair break off (almost at the roots). It was sad to see her walking around with her hair so short after it had been so long and beautiful.

once you've ANY pink tones on your hair, it would want to turn orange with sunlight in. (My hair is darkish brown too, yet there is pink hues in it, i does not use sunlight in.) utilising such issues as this, something can happen. specialist highlights are a good suggestion for lightening hair with out the issue :) sunlight publicity may also dry out/damage hair.

I've never tried Sun-in, but all it has in it that should lighten your hair is peroxide. I have tried peroxide b4 and while it made my hair a little lighter it also made it kind of orange. I wouldn't recommend it.

Yes! It turns your hair orange, not blonde!
