Yes. But, only a little. After washing your hair in hot or warm water turn the temperature to cold just before getting out of the water. Use just enough to make the head cold...other wise...BRAIN FREEZE!

It probably won't hurt to use conditioner right before that...to get extra smoothness. The cold water supposedly makes hair shinier too.

I have read that it improves shine because it seals the shaft or something but I have not tried it. At the very least, it doesnt hurt to give your hair a break from hot water as that may be damaging.

After washing your hair, take a quick rinse under cold water. I do it everytime.

I wash wish warm and sometimes rinse with cold, I think it makes it silky!
