Hair - October 2006

I am half chinese, so instead of having my mom's nice textured hair, I've got thick, straight hair.

I've been consulting with hairstylists in town & tried to get wavy perms. That was a big mistake. My hair got fried. I try to curl iron it, nothing happens. Hair gel/spray does nothing! I tried to get my hair layered, but nah, no luck on that either.

I was wondering if my type of hair is the kind that needs to be dealt with by a expensive, highly praised hair stylist??


Also, I live in a small town, so the choice in hair salons are minimal. I wasn't sure if maybe it's because of the salon choice that I have here.

i am a curly-haired girl before and many admired it.. but i never liked my hair so i went in a cheap stall where hair is treated and i let them make my hair straight... but after that, i regretted every thng!!! THEN, I REALIZED THAT MY HAIR BEFORE WAS BETTER THAT MY HAIR NOW... how could i get my old curly hair back???

I need help to find a hair salon to donate about 2 feet of my hair for the kid's with cancer. Not sure of any places around here. I'm new in town! Somewhere they don't charge the full amount for the cuts and style. At least the hair cut. Every three years I donate 2 1/2 feet to 3 feet of hair for the children. It's about that time! It makes me feel good to see a smile on children's faces when I get to share my beauty with them. It feels great to know I can put a smile on their faces! Please help me on this one!
Those children need it!

I have dark brown hair almost black. I tried dying it the other day with i think Loreal (temporary) BUT didnt happne,, didnt change at all! I also want to lighten my eyebrows so any suggestions of brands to use and ideas will help. Thankyou

I'm bi-racial and my hair is more the "white people" type...but you can still see that i have black in me...NO OFFENSE! My hair looks identical to the lead singer of Coheed and Cambria. He's sexy.....anywayz...I wash my hair almost every morning and it looks so cute and curly when it's wet....but when it dries.....OMG!! It gets very frizzy and looks super dry...is there a hair product that will make my hair still have cute curls even after it dries??? PLEASE HELP!!!

i usually straighten my hair right when i get of of the shower with my flat iron, so it goes wet to straight. it dries my hair and i get better results this way instead of blowdrying - then straightening. so i was just wondering if i should let my hair dry naturally, then straighten, or just straighten right when i get out of the shower (when my hair is wet)? i don't know which way is healtier for my hair, or better? does anyone know?
