That looks like a dark burgundy or cherry to me.
If you don't want to get it done at a salon, then try Clairol's site to help you find the dye shade that is right for you. Since your hair is already dark, you would only have to add some red to it. When you go to the store, look at the side of the boxes, not the front. The front of the box is only what color you are adding to your hair. The sides of the boxes show estimate results with different starting hair colors. Try the Clairol Natural Instincts line, it's a temporary color, so if it doesn't turn out right, it washes out. If you like it, then you can always buy the permanent shade for your next coloring. Going by their on line color chart, I would say your best bet would be #32 - Egyptian Plum Burgundy Brown

Only use professional haircolor myself but i would say solcolor 5br, or 6m. Now that's the name of the professional color that you need if you have a friend that does hair ask them to buy the stuff for you or do it for you. Buying a box from the drugstore is really not a good idea usually it ends up being too dark. Good luck to you.

I haven't looked at the site, but as a hairdresser, do yourself a favor. Coloring can be tricky. Take the picture in to your hairdresser and she will know the best and safest way to get your hair color as close as possible to that one you like. When it comes to coloring, it is complicated. We have to consider your natural color and tones and make sure we use the correct color and tones for yours are you can end up with something terrible. Please do not try this yourself. Have a professional do it. I know from experience, good and bad.

First off, go have it profesionally done, take that picture with you so your stylist can see it. It's a level 5, with auburn red in it. Your not gonna get the true color you want from a box.

Definately go to a stylist. Yes you will see similar shades at the drug store, but they will not turn out correctly. Depending on how dark your natural hair is they might have to double process your hair.

that looks like a reddish hue to it...i'd go ask a professional for a consolation about it..then remember the colors she selects and try to pick the same one to do yourself. Might be hard.to do yourself tho..your going in a few shade lighter and differnt tone than what you have!

I would definately go to the salon unless you want your hair to come out orange-ish....I have the same hair color as you and tried that once and it turned out purplish orange and faded to orange...Don't chance it at home.
