No, sorry buddy. The pony tail died out 15 years ago and the long shaggy hair is just for 8 year old boys. I went from the shag four years ago to the "feauxhawk" for a few years, and now I went to the buzzed head (set the clippers on three and let it go). Long hair went out at least three years ago but people (especially middle schoolers) don't realize it. The buzzed hair is really in, a lot of male celebrities are doing it now (brad pitt, clooney, etc). I am not quite thirty, only 28, but there is a time to let the long hair go. It was a shock to shave it all off at first, but now I feel like an actual adult. Plus ladies like it, that's what matters most. And at work, people listen to me now as a manager, I guess I seem tougher.

I think it only works if you have a full head of hair (so no balding in any places) and if it is well kept and maintained. It seems to works for men such as Peter Gallagher.

As long as it doesn't harm anyone else, a person should be able to do whatever he or she likes.
