Are you sure they are cutting it, if they ain't doing a proper hair cut then what are they doing! Stylist in London must be very careful not to ruin ones image.

It's expensive but go to Gary at the Trevor Sorbie salon in Covent Garden. He is absolutely amazing. He really listens to what you want and checks with you that you're happy with what he is doing throughout the haircut. Totally worth the money.

Please go to Nina Beckert at Essensuals in Covent Garden. She is really good and really lovely. She won British Newcomer a few years back, and has done very well since then. I was her client for quite a few years, then moved away from London and have never found such a good hairdresser! I miss her skills :(

I lived on the North side in Finchley. There's a salon there called Cut that does a pretty decent job. They give excellent head massages too.

Try Lucien Breidel. He works at the HeadMasters in Wimbledon village. He's a gem that hasn't been discovered yet. Try him before his prices go up. Good luck
