First of all, with your hair color, there really is no temporary lightening your hair with a box color. You can bleach it to get it lighter, but then to get it back dark you'd have to put a dark color back over it.
If you have already put a box color on your hair, the only way to lighten it now is to bleach and tone it. You definetly do not wanna do this yourself. Most likely what will happen if you do it yourself is your hair, especially being so dark, will come out orange. The orange is your natural remaining pigment in your hair once lightened. Once that happens your gonna have to put a color over it to get it to the level you want, and your gonna have to use a base color to counteract against the orange to get rid of that. You cannot do all that by buying box color at a store. So many people think they are gonna save so much money by coloring their hair themselves, and once they mess it up, and it happens a lot, then you have to spend all the money to get it fixed in a salon. I highly recommend just going and having it done in the first place. Doing an all over bleach on your hair can be pretty rough, you might want to shoot for having a heavy hilite instead.

i have very dark hair and i learned the hard way that i can't change the color AT ALL without lightening it first. i tried blond and blue and neither showed up even the slightest.

go to a store for ethnic hair and get a lightener or something that will strip the color out. it's kind of harsh, so get a really strong conditioner and use it after you lighten. wait a while (i lightened at night and dyed in the morning), condition again, and then use the dye.

You may want to take this sort of thing to a professional. If you tried and it didn't work don't take anymore chances. Consult a hair stylist first and go from there. A good professional can do both your hair and your eyebrows without a problem. Do a little research about it. Ask around and check out a couple a places. Ask to see some results of work they have done. Good luck.

My hair is elementary blonde evidently and that i lately had an eternal caramel brown on. because my hair is really elementary it diminished again blonde in the first 4 weeks. because your hair is really elementary, your color will in simple terms throw any darker color you've on the hair, till it develop into truly darkish brown or jet black for sure, so that you would possibly want to get away with a elementary brown everlasting. in case you want a momentary or an eternal darkish brown then you quite'll in reality bypass ginger. you would possibly want to ought to dye your hair red & then have the brown dye utilized over the red to aviod going khaki eco-friendly or orange. i do no longer propose this. till you've been having darkish brown flashes in. It fades fairly instantly, mine did. darkish brown complete head would not fade, as you'll have the red base below. wish i'm making sense!
