I have just got my hair bobed after being quite long......I love it!!
It is cut longer at the front and quite short on the nape of my neck, during the day I just wear a head band or a clip on 1 side and when I' m going out Ihave it all blown very sleek!!!
Although my hair was in good condition before I got it chopped, now it looks even better, really shiny too - not a split end in sight!!
Go for it, get a bob............

IMO a really short bob would not look good at all. Bobs tend to me medium length. I wouldn't take a bob any higger then cheek bone length. You might try an angled bob which is shorter in the back and longer in the front. Google Louise Brooks for a good idea of a shorter bob.

You can bob a wedge. It won't look very pretty. I would just do a chin length bob. Those are classic and have more versatility.

particular, it would make a around face look rounder because of the fact despite if it quite is a around bob and with bangs it could look like a helmet yet attempt to get razored layered bob to conceal facets of your face

Usually, that's too long for me. I believe it depends on the guy and his face though. Certain guys can easily pull off long hair and other folks can't.
