I got a new hair accessory at the Renaissance Festival this weekend. It is a metal spiral that wraps around my pony tail with a little charm hanging off the end. I have gotten several compliments on it. However, one of my coworkers walked in the other day and said, "Oh, you look like Princess Lea!" I wasn't sure if that was a compliment or a put down. What do you think?

I'm not kidding. Does anyone else have this strangeness going on? My hair is fairly long, past my shoulders, and many times when I shed a hair and find it on my shirt or wherever it's a few inches of brown, then an inch of blonde/colorless (not white or gray), then brown again, blonde, etc. I haven't dyed my hair. It's a very noticeable separation, too, from dark to very pale back and forth very suddenly on the individual hair.

I have very thick curly hair and I usually straighten it was a flat-iron. The thing is after I straighten it, I have to walk to school and the weather makes my hair not as thick as it is normally but it makes my hair curl up and makes it wavy at then ends, making it a little thicker. I don't want to straighten my hair everyday because I don't want to damage my hair too much, and getting another straightener is out of the question. Is there anything I can put in my hair to keep it straight?

i have a remington wet-2-straight and it straightens my hair perfectly flat but leaves me with split ends and as soon as i go outside (i live in FL) it turns really poofy and wavy...whats the best hair straightener out there thatll keep my hair straight and healthy looking?...i have very thick wavy/curly hair...thanks!

I recently went on a venture to get a straightener to, you know, straighten my hair. So I wanted to get a new one (I have one for dry that works great, but I wanted one for wet) and was looking at the drugstore. It was between the Remington Wet-to-Straight and a Vidal Sassoon one. Naturall, I chose Vidal Sassoon because it was fancy sounding. Lol. Well, it doesn't work on my hair.

Does the Wet-to-Straight work? Anyone else had problems with the Vidal Sassoon one? My fingers are burnt to a crisp. Ouch.
