I'm not kidding. Does anyone else have this strangeness going on? My hair is fairly long, past my shoulders, and many times when I shed a hair and find it on my shirt or wherever it's a few inches of brown, then an inch of blonde/colorless (not white or gray), then brown again, blonde, etc. I haven't dyed my hair. It's a very noticeable separation, too, from dark to very pale back and forth very suddenly on the individual hair.

Lol, yeah my hair does that too (goes down to my butt). It's just the sun bleaching it each year. The blonde areas are from the summer, and the dark part of your hair grew during the winter. If I take the ends of my hair and hold them against the roots, you can see a big difference in contrast. (and nope, I don't dye mine or anything either). But yeah, that's all it is, just the sun. =)

Severe exposure to sunlight and pollution, shampoo and types of conditioner you are using, lack of vitamins. Consult a beauty expert or a doctor.

Maybe you're graying?

My hair has naturally lightened, and wounded up with a few strands of gray.
