Do they think no one will notice the bald spot if they slick some hair over it? If you're a man who wears a comb-over, could you please explain why? I'm just curious.

All comeovers start out with a small bald patch and as it grows the comb-overer attempts to apply the same solution that worked for the smaller problem.

To protect their head from the elements.

Those comb-overs have quite the protective factor, don't let those thin little strands fool you...they have super powers!

And to the girl above me...you are wrong. The baldness gene is on the X chromosome, thus only passed from mother to son, henceforth, why it skips a generation.

They are too proud to admit the whole hair loss thing and think if they can use the come over to hide some bald spots, that it is attractive! No, not attractive at all!

i might shave my head and function it tanned out, in simple terms like something of my physique. Why worry cover some thing up as frugal as baldness? i may be a similar guy or woman without hair and that i'm particularly maintain adequate with my self belief regardless of ways the area performs itself out.

I've also wondered if they think nobody notices that they're going bald. I also hate older men wearing ponytails and bald on top.

It does look god awful. But maybe they think a little something is better than nothing. If their melon is cold, that little tuft of hair probably keeps the heat in :) And if their melon is hot in the sun, the tuft of hair protects from burning.

They're insecure about their *****, so they try anyting to look good for the ladies. Comb- Overs, Million dollar cars, Big houses, you get the picture.

I don't get it either. Me, I started losing some hair, so I just went all the way and shaved it all off. Looks better and it feels great! (I save money on haircuts, but I'm spending it all on razor blades!)

Vanity. Pure vanity. I, myself, am headed in that direction...male pattern baldness...but I don't give an obese rodent's posterior if it all falls out.....just call me "Slick"....LOL
