You are born with a finite number of hair follicles.
About 100,000, to be exact. The number is determined in your DNA.
When you pluck a hair, you usually only pull out the strand, not the full follicle. If you would, your hair would not grow back again -even after one pluck.
Usually, this takes a few 'tries' but it is possible to pull out the full follicle as many eyebrow-less ladies have noticed.

Forever practically, but using Nads Wax system will stop hair growth only after a few uses. My sister waxed her eyebrows a few times with the product and she hardly ever has hair there now. But a tip for plucking is to wait until you've steamed your face or got out of the shower, b/c steam helps open the pores which means hair comes out easier and less painless.

The hair will continue to grow until you are able to pull out the root of the hair. The hair itself is not alive, but the root is. Unfortunately, electrolosis or lazer hair removal are the best options. Lazer is the safest because it uses no needles.

the only way to get it to go away forever is with a laser or electrolysis. no amount of tweezing will do the job.
