Hair - August 2006

I have the superstar flat iron for about a year or two. My mother and I both use it once a week, and sometimes during the week for touch ups. I've noticed that it isn't as good as it used to be. My hair is very curly and long and it would look like glass after I'd use it; now it just looks like my hair is frizzy and puffy. Does this mean that I need to buy another $100 flatiron? A friend of mine has the same brand flatiron and had it for longer and hers is still giving her the pantene prov look. Is mine just shot from using it so much? Do flatirons have life expectancies?

I don't know if it's considered frizzy, but it looks nice when it's just brushed, after a while some of my shorter hairs stick upt! Since I can't get rid of those hairs, what can I do to get them to stay down?

Well Im am a brunette and I got blonde highlights. I just wanna know how long is it before I get a touch up. I dont wanna do it too often because I feel like my hair will get damaged and Im starting to notice that it is a little damaged where my highlights are.

I was wondering if different water temperatures help to not cause damage to hair. i have pretty damaged or "britle" hair, and I'm using that new Dove shampoo(the new blue bottle) that I really love. I don't really mind cold showers as long as they aren't freezing. What is a good water temperature, if any?

Is it possible for your hair to have too much body to it? I know that people spend lots of money to get hair like mine but it just seems too poofy. I need suggestions on how to either make it look flat with out it being greasy or cool ways to make it look cool while being poofy.

Hair under the testicules right by the butt hole i have small amount of hair that has been growing. when i take showers i constantly rub it to clean it and it spreads for some reason. it just keeps going down further...any ideas on how to get rid of it...i could shave it and it will get even more..but i need a new way...that wont bring it back
