Well Im am a brunette and I got blonde highlights. I just wanna know how long is it before I get a touch up. I dont wanna do it too often because I feel like my hair will get damaged and Im starting to notice that it is a little damaged where my highlights are.

Yeah My hair is very dark almost black and I got real blonde highlights. And yes theyre scattered layered highlights.

When your roots are in inch or so long. i like it when my roots start showing a bit then when i feel they are soo long my and there is a huge contrast between the highlights and the roots thats the time to do it. hold off the highlights as long as you can untill you just can't stand it anymore cause it will damage your hair alot after a while.

About every 4 - 5 weeks, or when your roots start showing to where it's pretty noticable. It depends on how fast your hair grows back.
As far as the damage goes, try some shampoo for dry and damaged hair and color treated hair, focusing on the highlights.

When the highlights turn into lowlights. How often you go depends on how fast your hair grows, and how many highlights you have in (and what type -- are they on the surface, in strata layers, sliver thin or broad stripes?) Yeah, the highlighting process is going to damage your hair so you're going to have to give it a little extra special attention to prevent dryness, brittleness and breakage.

i would say every 2-3 months depends how dark your roots will be compared to the highlights

when you see the new hair growing out. Keep conditioner or wash your hair in cool water and put some mayonaise or a cholsterol treatment for about 2 weeks.

i have highlights 2 i got them 6 months ago and im going 2 get them redone. i think it depends on how fast your hair grows. how long ago did you get them?
