Hair - July 2006

The last 5 years have been really stressful for me, mutiple bereavements, divorce etc, but the last 12 months my hair seems to suddenly have thinned to half its substance and become really fragile (almost like candyfloss) my nails are really brittle too.
Is there any supplements I can take to help try and restore it to its former glory?

I have long straight healthy hair,(no split ends) I mention this because some people have long damaged hair which is unbecoming...if your going to have long hair I think it should be healthy...(anyway)...
my question is in general,do you prefer long hair or short ? I am thinking of cutting my hair a blunt cut right at my shoulders...right now it's a little past my bra...about an inch past...

I don't curl my hair often, so when I do, I end up sucking at it. The curls either don't curl, or go limp after 5 mins. I want nice loose spirals all over, and when I do get a curl, it's atigh ringlet. Is there a happy medium? I work with a 1 1/2 inch curling iron. Anything will help guys!

I did the hair extension myself because of price. They look good, but my hair is just a little darker then the extensions. I would like to dye my hair anyways and now that I ahve the extension I don't even know now if I can dye my hair. If I can what kind of hair dye?? If it is possible..and keep in mind price.

i am so bored with mine! its about 1/2 inch longer than shoulder-length and my bangs are down to my lips. i`m getting it cut this weekend, and i cant find any styles on the net that i like that would suit my face shape. it's a cross between oval and square, but a little more oval i think. but its not round haha my shape is weird. any ideas? i want it kind of funky looking though. not soft and girly, and i want to try and keep the same length. any ideas?

It's happened to me many times and now my daughter. I have had many hair stylists tell me to bring in a picture of what I want with the indication that they will match it. I choose usually conservative but current styles, nothing to vouge. I don't expect an exact match, just close. In 20 plus years and who knows how many stylists, I have yet to recieve a cut that even resembles the picture I bring in. Now, I am usually okay with what I recieve, I'm flexible... as long as it looks good. I just think the stylist should say something if they don't know how to create that style. Can anyone shed some light on this?
