the best thing to do is spray each peace with a bit of hair spray before you curl it. and then let it completely cool down before you mess with it. once you have curled your whole head spray again let dry. and then use your fingers to style it.. no brush.. what size curling iron are you using?

What works for me is to clip a small amount of hair at the ends with curling iron and spray with hairspray and then roll it up / around the curling iron. Repeat for each curl.
It's the only way that curls hold in my hair, which is fairly straight. After curling I will generally spray my whole head too. There are also some products on the market that encourage curls to hold.

Try to put some hair spray or some sort of styling gel on her hair before curling. That way when you begin curling it will give her hair an extra boost to hold the curl.

You need to use a curling iron and a hair spray to hold the curls.

Make sure your hair is a little dirty or if you have to wash it don't use conditioner. Than put some sort of gel or mouse in hair. I would use hot rollers, I love them and I get awesome curls from it. I let mine heat up for at least 30 min. Than put them into hair. I have alot of hair and its long so I use two sets of curlers. Once they are in I spray whole head a little with hair spray and let them cool. I like to keep mine in for as long as possible. Than take them out spray and than give it a minute and waaalaaaaa I use my fingers to seperate the curls.....

Grab the piece of hair you want to curl , first buy some maxium holding spray, and then spray it on the piece of hair your about to curl and curl it, let it sit for a few seconds, not too long to where it will stick!

ok, first- you;re going to need a very very hot iron. I don't mean one you find in a drugstore, I mean a professional iron that salon's recommend. Heat is the key. The more heat-the more force on the hair. Second-try using some curl defying gel. John Frieda has excellent products for this occasion if you don't want to go over the top for a hot iron.

A professional curling iron (from a beauty supply) works much better than the regular store bought ones.
Make sure the hair is 'dirty' with styling products. After she washes her hair make sure she applies lots of product before she dries. Whenever I've gotten my hair 'done' for a formal occasion they want you to come with lots of product in your hair and preferably NOT just washed. (like wash it the day before)
Good luck :)

This might sound really goofy, But this is the only way i can get my hair to keep a curl.......Dip the comb in Beer, Thats right ...Beer.....Get the hair wet with the beer and than put the rollers in, Let it set til dry, She will NOT smell like beer, trust me, I don't know how it works but she will have great bouncing curls, Plus Beer is real good for your hair, It makes it sooooo shiny.....Try it and have fun........
