Actually.... I have a friend...who also colors her hair....and about every 2 weeks or so....before she takes a shower...she coats her hair in olive oil......just like you would use in your kitchen...she leaves it on for 30 minutes or so....then washes it out very well in her shower....it will take a couple times washing with a decent shampoo...then condition as you normally would.....her hair is really pretty.....its simple and fairly cheap since most people keep it in theor kitchen anyway...it doesnt take much either....dont drown your hair...just massage enough to coat.......good luck...let me know if it works for you.....

I highly recommend the Mayo, Olive Oil and Eggs treatment. You can buy this combination in many hair treatment products for African Americans. Also, buy a product called Olive Oil Sheen Spray. You can apply this when your hair is wet or dry. It does wonders for my colored hair.
